Playoff Predictions 2012
So it’s that time of year again when everything takes a back seat to the NHL playoffs. These are my first round predictions as I see them. This year I have very limited knowledge of the Western Conference because a lot of the teams who made it I never watch. Nonetheless I remain confident that my picks shall play out more or less as I see them. So here they are:
Eastern Conference
1) New...

Speak and Be Heard
Recently Sean Avery said that he supports same-sex marriage and since then, there has been a media circus surrounding his opinions. Was he right in doing so, or should he have watched his mouth? Those are the questions and here is the answer.
He had every right to provide an opinion on the issue because he is free to do so. Athletes may be given a higher status in our society, but that...
It's Not Over Yet...
So Osama Bin Laden has officially met his end and the world celebrates, a much needed one at that. After nearly ten years of searching for the most wanted man in the world, he was finally found in Pakistan. However, the man may be dead, but his ideals are definitely not, nor is there any shortage of people to take his place. This is far from over. The United States has made itself a target once...

It's Playoff Time!
So it’s playoff time in the NHL and naturally from now until June, this is all I’m going to be watching. And of course the Leafs did not get in, but it is most likely they would’ve been beaten in the first round anyways. This year, I shall be following Washington, and Montreal (despite my affiliation with the Leafs) and Vancouver by virtue of being the only two Canadian teams in...
Welcome to Wrestlemania!
So yesterday I went and saw Wrestlemania XXVII at the theatre, but unfortunately Mother Nature decided not to cooperate. We got to see most of the first match and then the feed cut out and we missed the end of that match (as well as a very expensive car getting destroyed afterwards) and the following 3.5 matches before the satellite feed resumed. So I missed all of two matches I was looking...

Sucker Punched
So I haven’t posted in a while and today I saw the movie SuckerPunch and it was so ridiculous that I feel I have to write about it. Going in I didn’t have extremely high expectations for it and, ultimately, I found that to be a good thing, lest I be very disappointed in it.
I will admit that the previews made it look like a pretty awesome movie and the more previews I saw the more I...
We Drove 2,000 Miles for This??
So I was informed of a debate that was started to determine which was better: The Simpsons or Family Guy. I realize I already posed this question through a Facebook status, but I did that so I could get the opinion of other people because I am curious about what they think.
For me, and this seems to be the consensus, there is no competition between the two shows. The Simpsons wins hands down....
Reading Weeks is for Reading?
Today is the first day back at school after reading week and I must confess that I had no desire to go to school today, a sentiment shared by many I’m sure. Anyways I thought I would reminisce about my week off school.
It started with a night of drinking in honour of Blake for his birthday and the next night I was introduced to two new tv shows, Breaking Bad and Modern Family, both of which...

Happy Valentines Day
As a disclaimer, I would like to say that my opinions that shall follow are likely to be shared by a great number of people so I am not presenting them as original ideas, but merely as my opinion as it happens to be. I should also point out that my opinions are not a result of the fact that I have never been in a relationship on valentines day.
Valentines Day is fast approaching and as you might...
30 Men, One Ring, One Goal
So yesterday I went to the theatre to see the “biggest Royal Rumble in history” comprised of 40 participants, as opposed to the traditional 30 participants. For the unenlightened, the Royal Rumble consists of 2 participants starting the match, with additional participants entering the ring at regular time intervals according to the entry number drawn prior to the match starting....

Silver and Gold
So now that the World Junior Hockey Championship has concluded, I decided to relay my thoughts on the tournament and here they are. It was, as always, very exciting to watch, although several games were rather one-sided, but it’s to be expected in an international tournament as not all countries have the same hockey programs as the USA, Canada, Sweden, and Russia. Once again, Switzerland...

Movies in Three Dimensions
As someone who frequents movie theatres on a regular basis (in fact I got a gift card for cineplex for Christmas) I have seen my share of movie previews. And let’s be honest, previews are part of the movie-going experience and who doesn’t love to watch them.
Anyways, it seems like almost all movies coming out are being released in 3-D and this movie phenomenon is getting quite out of...
Merry Boxing Day?
So as you are all no doubt aware, Christmas Day is fast approaching and like most people I have yet to do my shopping. Anyways, as any hockey fan knows, the arrival of Christmas Day means there is 24 hours or less until the World Junior Hockey Tournament commences. I for one cannot wait for this tournament to start, which is the case every year. It is always my favourite tournament of the year so...

Infomercials
I found myself watching an infomercial one night (be honest who hasn’t done this before) and it was for the FlavorWave Oven and it as being promoted by none other than Mr. T himself. This was much the same as all other food-related infomercials, which have in common a huge array of food that is seemingly endless. Some even have pre-made meals meaning they make 2 meals for every...
Remembrance Day
As you all know tomorrow is Remembrance Day and it’s always a time to be thankful for the privileges we all enjoy. So many brave men and women have given their lives so that we can live our daily lives in peace. Regardless of whether or not you agree with the war they are fighting, the Canadian Armed Forces are well deserving of our respect and support. After all we are the reason they...
Scott Pilgrim
So I finally finished reading the Scott Pilgrim book collection and I decided to put forth my thoughts on them. I personally found the books so much better than the movie. Now that’s not to say that the movie wasn’t awesome (because it was), but I found the books so enjoyable to read. I felt the entire storyline of the books made the ending in the series much more fulfilling than in...
First Actual Post Ever
So I decided that since this exists in my name anyways I might as well use it, however finding things to write about is not as easy as one might think. I decided to use it because I thought that writing my random thoughts down might prove to be a positive thing, so I decided to do it.
All that said, today is Halloween and I was thinking today about how much I used to care about this day, and how...

Hello Everyone
My name is Chris Lejambe and this is my second post on this. I don’t know what I should write about. Maybe, with enough inspiration, I will continue to update this. Until then, I wish you all the best.
