Today is the first day back at school after reading week and I must confess that I had no desire to go to school today, a sentiment shared by many I’m sure. Anyways I thought I would reminisce about my week off school.

It started with a night of drinking in honour of Blake for his birthday and the next night I was introduced to two new tv shows, Breaking Bad and Modern Family, both of which are great shows. What followed was a week of video games, movies, and my fruitless attempt to catch up on all the shows I am behind on. Wednesday was spent playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Halo Reach with a whole group of friends and I think I was victorious maybe five times, but it’s alright because it was all in good fun. Friday I went for sushi for the very first time, and although I wasn’t entirely sure what I was consuming most of the time, I really liked going and would do it again. Saturday was the epic Lord of the Rings marathon when a whole group of us watched all three extended editions consecutively, in their entirety. Sunday I watched the Oscars for the very first time and, although they are a huge waste of time, it is worth it to spend that time with great friends.

That was the abbreviated account of my week off school, but I have returned with even less motivation than when the week started, something that happens every year. I am also well aware that I should spend that week doing work, but of course I never do. After this first day, however, I will get back into the normal routine
